The original Flavors was a small backyard festival

Festival, which FCNC held for two years at Catawba

followed by a porch dinner at the Inn at Glen Alpine.
The next offering on the smorgasbord of events
associated with Flavors was the Foothills Wine
Meadows Park. Eventually, Flavors focused on an
evening dinner at venues that included CoMMA,
The Armory, a converted mill in Valdese, Morganton
Community House, outdoors on West Union Street in
downtown Morganton, Silver Fork Winery, and Fonta
After alternating venues for 20-some years, Flavors of
Flora’s Whippoorwill Farm. For a number of years, the
Carolina’s annual signature event – found a home
donated by local artists, craftspeople, and businesses.

in 2024 at its very own Oak Hill Community Park and
